Out of Denmark Press Coverage

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld ate at Out of Denmark on February 4, 2000. Here's what Sun-Sentinel "South Florida Insider" columnist Jose Lambiet had to say about our brush with fame:

"Good son, that Jerry Seinfeld."
Friday night, the toothy funnyman took his 83-year-old mom, Boynton Beach resident Betty Seinfeld, and her elderly male companion for a night on the town -- in Delray Beach.
The group, which also included Seinfeld recent bride Jessica Sklar, ended up grabbing dinner at Out of Denmark, the cozy northern European hangout at Harbor Plaza. One thing about the place: Even a superstar has to wait in line.
"The reservation was under Seinfeld, but this being Delray, we have lots of Seinfelds," said owner Jorgen Moller. "When I saw him I thought: 'Oh, that Seinfeld.'"
With 25 people ahead of them on the waiting list, Moller had the foursome cool their heels for 20 minutes before seating them.
"If the Queen of Denmark came, even she'd have to wait her turn," Moller said. "If I had let the Seinfelds in earlier, my regulars would tear my head off."
But when one is a newlywed, what's 15 minutes?
"While they were waiting, he and Jessica were all over each other, right in front of his mother" Moller said. "They were hugging and kissing. All those people waiting had their entertainment."
Once settled in a corner with his back to the other diners, Seinfeld didn't even crack a smile when a forward young waitress, imitating the infamous soup Nazi from one of Seinfeld's best episodes, said: "No soup for you."
Still, he found the pickled herring better than the humor, so much so that he bought a jar. Dinner tab: $100, with a $30 tip. And to one diner who asked for his picture to be taken with the star: "No, not today," Seinfeld whined."
