Romance
It won't be long until Christian Moller and Karin van Gremberghe tie the
proverbial knot in
December. He's the chef and she's the manager at Out of Denmark , the Delray Beach
restaurant
owned by the Moller family.
In anticipation of the big day, they asked 50 couples who dined at the restaurant between
Aug. 22
and Sept. 5 to share their views on love and marriage. In return, the diners received a
free bottle of
wine and dessert. Then, Moller and van Gremberghe drew two entries at random. The
first-place
winners were Rod and Shay Bannister of Boca Raton, who have been married for nine years.
"Cook together," they suggested.
The Bannisters explain that they didn't give this advice just because Christian is a chef.
"Cooking
really is a great way to connect," Shay says. Their prize: A romantic dinner at home
prepared by
chef Christian.
The second-place winners, Eileen and Michael Stone of Boca Raton, won dinner for four at
the
restaurant. The Stones, who have been married 33 years, gave this advice: "Always
stay friends."
Now, the newlyweds have turned all of the solicited advice into a book. And beginning
Friday,
they'll give the book to any couple who comes to the restaurant to celebrate an
anniversary or pop
the question. (Just mention your intentions when you make your reservation; 561-276-4950.)
